Maryland Deltas volunteer as "financial educators" at Edgewood HS in Oct. 2007
Delta Sigma Theta’s “Financial Fortitude” initiative helps members of the sorority, and community at large, manage personal finances at every stage of their lives.  Whether it’s a five-minute presentation to Chapter members during monthly sorority meetings, or participating in major events hosted by regional financial institutions or sponsoring our events in collaboration with churches, schools and community centers, Deltas share the wealth of information to those needing greater insight and consumable tips to help them manage their finances throughout:

*Childhood

*College
*Career
*Marriage/Divorce
*Parenthood
*Homeownership
*Entrepreneurship
*Life Crisis
*Retirement & Estate Planning

Some of the programs the Harford County Alumnae Chapter has brought to the community include:

Get Smart on Credit Day
Maryland Chapters of Delta Sigma Theta joined with the Maryland Bankers’ Association, Operation Hope and M&T Bank in teaching area school students the importance of wise money management in their youth.
